Cottage industies are the hoousehold industries in which the craftsman make goods in their home with the help of their family members. They invest very little capital, use local raw materials and simple tools. Little or no power is used. They sell their product in the ,local markets. Products of cottage industries include pottery, baskets, textiles, jewellery, decorative items, jams and jellies, pickles etc.
