Saudi Arabia is ruled by an absolute Monarch. It is based on Islam, Quran being the constitution of the country.. The King serves as the head of Sate and Government.he is supported by a council that advice on policy matters. The appointments are sanctioned by the King.
The royal princes and family occupy major ranks in the government. It is believed that there are more than 7000 princes. Important ministries are ear marked for the Royal family. There are no elections to chose representatives.

There is a committee of eminent Islamic leaders whose influence is predominant in the government. They have a say in the day to day activities of the government other wise know as executive actions by the government. This boy is know as Ulema. Even the royal family abides by the Ulema. The head of the Uleam always hails from the highest religious family.
