Write a note on human fallopian tubes.

Fallopian tube.

  1. These are two tubes formed from both sides of uterus and extend up to the ovary.
  2. Each tube is 10-12 cm in length.
  3. The fallopian tube has a funnel-shaped opening near the ovary which has finger like projections called fimbriae.
  4. The fallopian tube carries ovum.
  5. Fertilization take place in the widest part of the fallopian tube.
