• Mendel performed his experiments on garden pea plant which has its alleles having complete dominance and hence laws of inheritance were proved. Other scientists performed their experiments on different types of plants and animals and found derivations to Mendelian ratios.
  
• Depending upon these experiments and observations a different pattern of inheritance called gene interactions was discovered. The study is known as post mendelian genetics or neo Mendelism.
