Solution:
The Bahmani kings made immense contributions in the field of education.
Sultan Ala-ud-din Hasan Shah founded a school to educate his sons. Sultan Muhammad I opened institutions to educate children of the noble families in the art of soldiery. Later, his successors founded residential schools in Gulbarga, Bidar, Dualatabad, and Kandahar.
Mahmud Gawan established the world-famous Madrasa in Bidar, which had a large library containing a collection of 3000 manuscripts. This is illustrative of the importance given to scholarship and education by Mahmud Gawan.
