The history of transport began in the human age and has continued to develop over the period. The human foot was the first means of travel, to reach places, people used to walk long distances. The first change made to this type of transport has been the adaptation to various surfaces.

History of transportation

• The first wheeled vehicles were used around the year 3500 BC.
• There were wheels mounted to carts and chariots as a way of carrying small loads. .People built basic logs into controllable riverboats with oars to direct the vessel
• The human went on to horse-like tame animals as a mode of transport after this.
• Jean Lenoir made the first gas-powered automobile in 1862.
• The first motorcycle was invented after that in 1867.
• Finally, the Wright brothers designed the first manned aircraft with an engine in the year 1903.
• The first liquid propelled rocket was launched successfully in the year 1926 and other vehicles came after this, such as jets, helicopters and hovercrafts.
