Importance of non-metals in our daily life -

  1. Hydrogen is employed in the production of ammonia.
  2. Rocket fuel contains hydrogen.
  3. Graphite is used to manufacture electrolytic and dry cell electrodes.
  4. Nitrogen is utilized to preserve food due to its inertness.
  5. Sulfur is employed in the vulcanization of rubber.
