Solution:
  • Guru Amar Das Ji was also a strong social reformer, apart from being a spiritual leader. His reforms played a major role in the Sikh religion.
  • Guru Amar Das Ji condemned caste discrimination and untouchability. He also preached against ‘Sati’ and the 'Purdah system’.
  • He advised the Sikhs to not indulge in alcohol, tobacco, and other intoxicants.
  • The Baoli at Goindwal which was constructed by him helped in ending water scarcity in that area.
  • The Sangat gatherings at Goindwal during his time on occasions like Vaisakhi and Diwali helped in developing a sense of unity and brotherhood among the people.
