• Many methods are used to control freshwater, reduce pollution and conserve water and its properties.
• Water conservation is critical because it protects life on the earth.
• Various methods are used to conserve water. Some of them are:

(i) Rainwater should be used for gardening or washing purposes if possible.

(ii) Only required water is used for washing and cleaning utensils etc.

(iii) Rainwater harvesting is the best method for water conservation.

(iv) Taps should be kept close when there is no use of them.
