Personal selling consists of an oral presentation of the product (i.e. the information about the product) by the seller to the consumer. Here, the seller comes in direct contact with the buyer.
Importance of personal selling:
i. Flexible- The sales presentation of the product can be adjusted according to the needs and preferences of the customer.
ii. Proper feedback- Due to the physical presence of the seller and the buyer, a proper feedback is ensured.
iii. Minimising wastage - The effort to sell doesn’t go to waste, as the target customers are specified.
iv. Awareness- Personal selling helps create awareness about the availability, features and working of the product. It helps clarify the doubts of the customers regarding the product.
