Electrostatic force

1. The force of attraction or repulsion between two charged bodies is called electrostatic force.
2. It is a type of non-contact force explained by Coulomb.
3. Like charges attract each other. For example, if a positively charged body comes into contact with another positively charged body then they experience an electrostatic force of repulsion.
4. Electrostatic force of repulsion will also act when a negatively charged body interacts with another negatively charged body.
5. When a positively charged body interacts with a negatively charged body, an electrostatic force of attraction is experienced by them.
