Climate
It scorching hot and parchy dry in Sahara Desert.
It also has a short rainy season as well.
During the day time temperature remains as high as 50 degree celcius, and nights may be freezing cold.
People
Various groups of people reside in Sahara Desert which may include Bedouins and Tuaregs.
Basically, These groups include nomadic tribes
These group who rear livestock such as goats, sheeps which provides them milk, hides etc.
Flora and Fauna
Vegetation there includes Cactus, date palms, and acacia, and even there are oasis-green islands with date palms in some places.
Camels, heyna, jackals, foxes, scorpions, many varieties of snakes and lizards are the prominent animal species there.
LADAKH-The Cold Desert
Climate
In summer, day temperatures remains just above zero degree and the night temperatures remain below -30 degree celcius.
And when temperatures remain fall below -40 degree celcius it is freezing cold there in winters .
Sometimes, there is even a little rainfall, as low as 10cm every year.
People
People there either includes Muslims or Buddhists.
In summer, people usually cultivates barley, potatoes, peas, beans and turnip.
And in winters, as the climate remains so harsh, people keep themselves engaged in festivities and ceremonies.
Women are also very hardworking there, as they also manage small businesses and shops as well.
Flora and Fauna
Vegetation is sparse due to high aridity.
Scanty patches of grass and shrubs for animals to graze are found there.
Several species of birds are also found there, which include migratory birds too.
Animals found there include wild sheep, goats, yak, which are even reared to provide milk, meat and hides.
