Solution: The meaning of the term: Democracy can be found in its origin itself. The word: Democracy comes from two Greek terms: Demos (meaning people) and Kratos (meaning rule). Thus, democracy translates to the Rule of the People.

Thus, democracy is a form of government in which power/authority is derived directly from the people. Its foundation is based on the country's people.

We hav two types of democracies that is Parliamentary Democracy and presidential democracy:
In a Parliamentary Democracy, the President appoints the Prime Minister from the leader of the party with the most Loksabha seats. The executive is accountable to the Lok Sabha in India.
The executive is always accountable to the legislature in a parliamentary system. In layman's terms, an executive is someone or something who implements or executes a plan.

The leader of a presidential democracy is known as the President, and he or she is elected by citizens to lead a branch of government distinct from the legislative branch.

The people directly elect the President in a Presidential Democracy. The President is in office for a set period of time, as specified in the Constitution.
