Write a short note on endocrine pancreas. [3 MARKS]

1. Pancreas plays both endocrine and exocrine functions in our body. Exocrine part helps in digestion of food.
2. Endocrine part is located in the tail of the pancreas. It’s called Islet of Langerhans.
3. Pancreas secretes insulin hormone which decreases glucose level and glucagon which increases glucose level in the blood.
