Gene interaction:
Gene or genetic interaction is the phenomenon in which two or more genes influence another gene and its expression of a single character in an organism. It is a deviation from classical Mendelism as Mendel postulated that a single character is influenced by a single 'factor' or gene, hence producing different genotypic ratio than that of classical Mendelian ratio.
Many kinds of gene interactions can be observed such as supplementary gene action, complementary gene action, epistasis etc.
