Briefly discuss and analyse Indian defence forces and paramilitary forces.
Solution:
India’s security system includes the army, the navy and the air force.
The responsibility of protecting the geographical boundaries is on the army, whereas the navy protects the coastline and the air force is in charge of protecting India’s air space.
The Ministry of Defence controls all the three forces.
Many training institutes have also been set up in our country to train the personnel of all ranks of our defence forces.
Aprt from the regular forces we also have paramilitary forces to help the primary defence forces maintain peace and security in the country.
Paramilitary forces include Coast guards who protect oceanic borders, Central Reserve Police Force to assist the administration in various states, home guards and more.
