2. Humans are infected with the parasite after being bitten by infected mosquitos.

Symptoms:

1. Fever and chills
2. General feeling of discomfort
3. Headache
4. Nausea and vomiting
5. Diarrhea
6. Abdominal pain

Control:

1. We should wear full-sleeved protective clothes.
2. Insect repellents should be applied to any exposed skin.
3. Drape a mosquito net over your bed if your room isn't air-conditioned.
4. You can use bug repellants on your clothing as well as your exposed skin when you go anywhere.
