Solution
Momentum defined simply is “Mass in motion”.
Two important things considered here are, how much the mass is moving (m) and how fast (v).
The motion of a moving body measured as the product of mass and velocity (p= mv) is momentum.
Momentum is a vector quantity, that is, it has magnitude as well as direction.
The units for momentum would be mass units times velocity units.
According to Newton's second law, The rate of change of body's momentum is equal to the force acting on it.
