Write a short note on oil production in Arab gulf states.

a Gulf states accounts for one of the largest oil reserves globally.
b. Countries like Bahrain, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, accounts for 2/3rd of the crude oil reserves.
c. As per the data available, the Gulf Region produces over 25.2 million barrels of oil per day,and accounts for over 30% of the world’s oil production and 15% of gas production.
d. With increased demand for oil which is a major propelling factor for both commercial and household needs, the need and importance of oil has been growing tremendously.
e. In fact oil industry in the region is one of the largest employer in the region , attracting ,large number of people.
f. History also bears testimony to the fact, that oil has also been a factor for conflict in the region,
g, The discovery of oil in the gulf region has also been a major propelling factor leading to development of the region and massive inflow of money.
h. it has also led to increased presence of Foreign companies owing and managing oil in these regions.
