Earth is the third nearest planet from the Sun and the fifth largest planet in the Solar System
It is in the shape of a Geoid. It is bulged at the equator while it is flattened at the Poles.
Earth is the only planet that is habitable. This is called the Goldilocks Zone or habitable zone as the conditions for life to prosper are found on Earth.
The Earth appears blue from the Outer Space as 2/3rds of it is covered by oceans.
The earth has only one natural satellite, the Moon.
