Solution: It is the innermost portion of the Earth’s interior.
The core has a diameter of 3500km and makes up 15% of the earth’s volume.It is made up mostly of Nickel i.e Ni and Iron i.e Fe and is also called the NiFe layer. The temperature of the core is around 5000°C.

It has two types: Inner core and Outer Core

A. Inner core:

• Layer surrounding the center of the Earth
• 5100-6368 km
• 2700°C
• Solid-state

B. Outer core:

• Layer encircling the inner core
• 2900-5100 km
• Liquid state
