Instructions: The answer to this question should talk about Captain Mohansingh’s formation of the INA and the taking over by Subhash Chandra Bose.
Solution: Captain Mohansingh, an Indian soldier from the British army, formed the Indian National Army (INA) or 'Azad Hind Fauj'. He was supported by the Indian soldiers who had surrendered to Japan as prisoners of war.
The Japanese government and Rasbihari Bose, the founder of the INA, started to have differences. Due to these conflicts, Mohansingh resigned. With a general consent, Subhash Chandra Bose was appointed as the chief of 'Azad Hind Fauj' on 4th July, 1943.
Bose reorganised the Azad Hind Fauj, and divided it into various battalions. He also ensured that proper training was given to the soldiers. The INA attained victory at various fronts in the Eastern border of India.
