A group of unarmed people gathered at Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar on 13th April 1919 for a peaceful meeting. General Dyer sealed the exit and ordered the soldiers to fire the people gathered there. Rabindranath Tagore renounced his Knighthood in protest of the Jallianwala Massacre
