a) The sources of waste are:

1. Domestic waste: The different household wastes which are collected during household activities like cooking, cleaning, etc. Examples: vegetable peels, leftover food, old toys, clothes, etc.
2. Agricultural waste: Wastes produced in the agricultural field during cropping or harvesting. Examples: pesticides, rotten produce like fruits and vegetables, fallen leaves, crop residues, etc.
3. Industrial waste: Wastes generated during industrial processes in factories or industries. Examples: paint residues, chemical effluents, toxic fumes, hazardous chemicals, etc.
4. Commercial waste: Wastes produced in schools, colleges, shops, offices, hospitals, etc. Examples: plastic materials, paper waste, syringes, broken glasswares, etc.
