The phrase, unity in diversity is apt for India as it relates to the state of togetherness or integrity despite the presence of infinite diversity. The term unity of diversity signifies the unity between people with different cultural, religious faiths, social status and other demographic variations. Unity in diversity is very essential for India because it is a very simple task to divide people with different views and ideas. If there is a unity between people of India despite their variations and it is very difficult to disintegrate the nation. The unity among the citizens of the country plays a great role in maintaining peace and prosperity in the nation. It plays a vital role in the growth of the country because the united country will always move on the path of development. It sets an example for all nations by highlighting the values and morals of citizens who respect and encourage each other despite their different backgrounds and cultures, thus, giving global recognition.
