Question

Write a short note on why angiosperms are most successful plants.

Open in App
Solution

Dear Student , Angiosperms are most successful plants because they have fruits and flowers. Flowers increase the efficiency of fertilization by manipulating insects to transport pollen directly from one plant to another, rather than relying on wind. Flowers also provide protection for the ovule and developing embryo inside a receptacle. The function of the fruit is seed dispersal. They also protect the developing seed. Regards
