The temperate forests in India are grouped as Montane wet temperate forests ,Himalayan moist temperate forests,Himalayan dry temperate forests.These forests grow in the zone having height between 1500 to 3,300 metres above the sea level.They grow where the rainfall is as 150-300 and in case of dry temperate forests where precipitation is below 100 cm.Deodar,birch,oaks,maple are the important trees of this forest.
