Anything that produces heat is a source of heat. The sources of heat are:-
The Sun:-The sun is the main and naturally occurring source of heat. Sun continuously produces an enormously large amount of heat through a process called nuclear fusion.
Electrical energy:-Electrical energy is an important source of heat in our day-to-day life. When an electric current is passed through a metallic wire, the wire gets heated up. This is called the heating effects of current.
Chemical reactions:-There are many chemical reactions that produce heat. Such reactions are called an exothermic reaction. The burning of fuels like petroleum gas, petrol, kerosene, coal, and wood is an exothermic chemical reaction.
