In food: Some species of Gymnosperms have edible seeds such as Ginko, Pinus, Gnetum Cycas. In some places, leaves of Cycas cooked as vegetables.

In Medicine: Anti cancerous drug called taxol is obtained from the bark of Taxus.

Ephedrine(alkaloid) extracted from Ephedra used in treating asthma, cough, cold, bronchitis, etc.

In Decoration: Some Gymnosperms are used for decoration the decoration such as Pinus.

In Industry: In Industry it is used for making gum, furniture, paper, etc.
