Solution: UNICEF was established by General Asembly in 1947. The primary goal was to provide assistance to children and their mothers following the Second World War. Currently, it works with developing-country governments to improve the lives of children.

The functions are:

• Provides food relief to children and advocates for women and pregnant mother’s interests along with preventing human trafficking.
• Help children and women in times of natural calamities.
• Supplies papers to publish textbooks and literature to facilitate learning among children.
• Provides training and funds to health and sanitisation workers.
• Work towards immunisation of children to avoid preventable diseases.
