Solution

Chemical equation -

  • A chemical reaction represents a chemical change from one or more substances to a new substance.
  • These chemical reactions are represented using symbols and formulae of the substances involved in the reaction. Such representation is known as the Chemical equation.

The limitations of the chemical equation are as follows -

  1. Whether the reaction is rapid, slow, or instantaneous, i.e. a chemical equation does not reflect the rate of the reaction.
  2. A chemical equation does not reveal whether a reaction proceeds to completion or is stopped in the middle, i.e. the amount to which a reaction occurs.
