Write about the preparation of Hydrogen by the action of cold water, hot water, and steam on metals.
Preparation of Hydrogen using Cold water: Active metals like Potassium, Sodium, and Calcium react with cold water to liberate Hydrogen gas and form the corresponding metal hydroxide. (M= metal).
Preparation of Hydrogen using hot water: Magnesium liberates Hydrogen from boiling water, but the reaction is slow.
Preparation of Hydrogen using steam: When steam is passed over heated metals like Magnesium, Zinc, Iron, and Aluminium, liberates Hydrogen gas and forms corresponding metal oxide.
