Solution

Step-1: For writing an algebraic expression for the given statement :

Let a number be x

An algebraic expression for statement "Take a number. After adding 9 to it and then multiply by 7 " =(x+9)×7=7x+63

Step-2: For finding values in expression:

By substituting values of x=1,2,3,4 and 5 in expression 7x+63

For x=1,7x+63=7×1+63=7+63=70

For x=2,7x+63=7×2+63=14+63=77

For x=3,7x+63=7×3+63=21+63=84

For x=4,7x+63=7×4+63=28+63=91

For x=5,7x+63=7×5+63=35+63=98

Thus, the values of expression 7x+63 by substituting values x=1,2,3,4 and 5 is 70,77,84,91,98.

Hence, the expression for given statement is 7x+63 and the values of expression 7x+63 by substituting values x=1,2,3,4 and 5 is 70,77,84,91,98.
