Question

Write an expression for 6less than the quotient X and 3 is equal to 2???

Open in App
Solution

The word quotient tells us that we'll be dividing. Thus, we now have

x/3

And when we say "six less than", we'll obviously be subtracting 6 from this. Also, this expression is equal to 2. We get

(x/3)−6=2

Hope this helps!
