Solution

(a) The human circulatory system consists of the heart, blood vessels and capillaries, and circulating fluid blood.

(b) The circulatory system keeps blood flowing continuously throughout the body. It transports nutrients and oxygen to all the cells in the body, and collects waste materials from all the cells and transports them to the excretory system.

(c) Excretion is the process of removal of harmful metabolic wastes from the body. The organ system that performs the function of excretion is known as the excretory system.

(d) Some of the waste products formed in plants include gum, resins, oxalate crystals, sap and catechu.

(e) In plants the waste products get deposited in the leaves, bark or the outer layer of the stem. Plants shed their leaves, bark or the outer layer of the stem from time to time and waste products deposited in them are also thrown out of the plant.
