The Lahore session of the Indian National Congress was held in 1929 and not 1939.
The chief features of this session were:

• Jawahar Lal Nehru was the President at this session
• Aim of Purna Swaraj was adopted at this session
• The new tricolor flag was unfurled for the first time and it was decided to mark 26^th January 1930 as the First Independence day that was to be celebrated every year.
