Australopithecus (Southern ape) is a member of the human family tree that is now extinct. They had the following physical features,
i) They were relatively short (about four and a half feet in height)
ii) Their forehead was lower and had longer arms.
iii) They had a skeleton that allowed them to walk upright.
iv) Their brain capacity was equal to the much taller than that of a modern gorilla.
v) Their cranial capacity was only about one-third of the modern man.
