The hindbrain is one of the three parts of the brain (the central coordinating centre of the body). The hindbrain is divided into the cerebellum, pons and medulla oblongata.
Functions:
The cerebellum of the hindbrain helps maintain body balance and coordinates the muscular activity of the body.
Medulla oblongata of the hindbrain controls many involuntary actions like breathing, swallowing, sneezing, blood pressure, etc.
