Step 1:Remove the decimal point

As there are two digits after decimal so multiply and divide the decimal by 100

0.25=0.25×100100=0.25×100100=25100

Step 2: Find the greatest common factor of 25 and 100

Prime factorisation of 25 and 100 are 5×5 and 2×2×5×5 respectively.

The common prime factors in 25 and 100 are 5×5

Hence, the G CF of 25 and 100 is 5×5=25

Step 3: Divide both numerator and denominator by their GCF

25100=25÷25100÷25=14

Hence, 0.25 in fraction in it lowest form is 14
