Artificial Insemination:

1. Artificial insemination is one in which the sperm are transferred to the female body by artificial means, which is other than a natural process.
2. Artificial insemination is usually adopted to improve cattle breeds.
3. This process is done in three steps i.e. collection of semen of good quality cattle by artificial means, preservation as well as storage of semen, and transfer of the semen into the vagina of the female.
4. Nowadays artificial insemination is also practiced in human beings.
