Write chemical equations for the following reactions :
(i) Propanone is treated with dilute BaOH2.
(ii) Acetophenone is treated with Zn(Hg)/Conc.HCl
(iii) Benzoyl chloride is hydrogenated in presence of Pd/BaSO4

(i)When propanone is treated with dil.barium hydroxide since it have α hydrogen it will undergo self aldol condensation reaction via

(ii) Ketone or aldehyde when treated with Zn(Hg)/Conc.HCl
gets reduced to alkane. The carbonyl group gets reduced and this reaction is known as Clemmensen's reduction.

(iii)H2,Pd/BaSO4 is a typical reagent for Rosenmund reaction which does the selective reduction of acid chloride to aldehyde for benzoyl chloride. The reaction is:
