(i)When propanone is treated with dil.barium hydroxide since it have $α$ hydrogen it will undergo self aldol condensation reaction via

(ii) Ketone or aldehyde when treated with $Z n (H g) / C o n c . H C l$
gets reduced to alkane. The carbonyl group gets reduced and this reaction is known as Clemmensen's reduction.

(iii) $H_{2}, P d / B a S O_{4}$ is a typical reagent for Rosenmund reaction which does the selective reduction of acid chloride to aldehyde for benzoyl chloride. The reaction is:
