Write chemical reaction of glucose with $H I$ .

$H I$ is a strong hydrogenating agent. On reacting with glucose in excess it replaces all the $O H$ and carboxyl groups with hydrogen, covering it into $n-hexane$ .
$C_{6} H_{12} O_{6} + H I \to C_{6} H_{14}$
