Lead chamber process
1) First $S O_{2}$ is formed
$S + O_{2} \to S O_{2}$
OR
$F e S_{2} + O_{2} \to F e_{2} O_{3} + S O_{2}$
2) $H_{2} S O_{4}$ is obtained by oxidation of $S O_{2}$ in presence of $N O$ as a catalyst.
$S O_{2} + H_{2} O + [O] N O - - \to H_{2} S O_{4}$
