Open in App
Solution

The general term i.e. (r+1)th term in the expansion of (1+x)n is given by
Tr+1=n(n1)(n2)....(nr+1)r!xr
Now,
Tr+1=4(41)(42)(43)..........(4r+1)r!(x)r

=(4)(5)(6)(7)........(r3)r!(1)r(x)r

=(1)r(1)r4.5.6.7.........(r+3)r!xr

=(1)2r(r+1)(r+2)(r+3)1.2.3xr

By cancelling like terms in numerator and denominator
=(r+1)(r+2)(r+3)1.2.3xr
