Dear student
Here in the question we are asked the traditional uses of solar energy. This means how the energy of the sun was used in old days.
So traditional uses of solar energy are:
1. Heating: The energy from the sun was used to heat things both edible and non -edible and remove their foul odour.
2.Cooking: Since the solar cooker is now a thing of the past, it is thus regarded as a traditional use of solar energy. For proper mixing of spices in pickles, solar energy was used.
3.Drying: For drying edible food stuffs , solar energy was used. For drying clothes also, solar energy is used.
4. For photosynthesis: Green plants prepare their food in the presence of sunlight using water and oxygen.
So solar energy is used in photosynthesis.
