1. All the outer parts of the machine need to be wiped with a cloth to clean them well.


2. Wiping also helps in removing any moisture on the machine which can cause it to rust.


3. Lubricants like grease, are applied to the parts of the machine that move and rub against each other. This reduces friction among them.


4. Machines must be covered up when not in use. This prevents dust from settling in the machine parts.


5. Machines must be externally painted regularly to prevent the effect of weather on them.
