Solution

On a daily basis, we come into contact with a wide variety of fabrics. Fabrics are divided into two categories based on the type of fibres they are made of: synthetic and natural.

Natural fibres:

  • Cotton, denim, wool, and silk are all examples of natural materials.
  • Natural roots may always be found in the fibres that make up these fabrics. Cotton, for example, comes from the cotton plant, silk comes from the silkworm's cocoon, and wool comes from sheep and other animals.

Synthetic fibres:

  • Fabrics made of artificial or man-made fibres are known as synthetic fabrics.
  • Rayon, nylon, velvet, and felt are all examples of synthetic fibres.
