2. Pathogens contaminate the fresh water which when consumed directly or indirectly via food cause sickness.
3. Examples- Typhoid, cholera etc.

Preventive measures:

1. Drinking boiled water.
2. Properly dispose of sewage
3. Maintain excellent sanitary habits
