The matrix of bones is solid therefore it is inflexible.The matrix of cartilage is semisolid therefore, it is usually flexible or elastic.
The matrix of the bone contains protein ossein. The matrix of the cartilage contains protein chondrin.
The cells of bone contain outgrowths.The cells of cartilage do not contain outgrowths.
