Write -7-3 as a rational number with denominator -15.

Open in App
Solution

Given rational number: -7-3

We are having -3 in the denominator and we have to make it -15.

So we just need to divide -15 by -3 and we get 5.

Now it is clear that we just need to multiply 5 in numerator and denominator both.

So,

(-7)×(5)(-3)×(5)=-35-15

Snice we cannot disturb the actual value of the rational number so we have to multiply 5 in numerator and denominator both.

Hence, -7-3 as a rational number with denominator -15 is -35-15.
